Modelling after the CB acrylic table, this is our metal version supporting a 13-foot long and 50-inch single piece of Claro Walnut.

The process began flattening the single Walnut piece by long board sander, making sure to retain thickness on the edges for proportions.  Rather than filling with epoxy, Autonomous filled voids in the wood with complex inlays, some are evident, some are hidden and grain matched. Working the wood surface close to 200 hours.

Set on angled blackened steel legs for a dramatic industrial effect with a centre stretcher bar along the underside for strength. The leg placement is meant to maximize seating around the table.

Features:
  • Contemporary dining table using solid Claro Walnut and blackened steel.

  • Designed by Kirk Van Ludwig, five-time Designer of the Year finalist for Western Living magazine. A modern furniture aficionado.

Specifications:
  • 156" L x 50" W x 29.5" H. Tailored sizes available.

  • Claro Walnut tabletop with hard wax oil finish, sustainably salvaged from Oregon, USA.
  • Angled blackened steel legs and stretcher bar along underside.
  • Proudly designed and hand built in Victoria, BC, Canada.
  • Care and maintenance: Simply use a damp microfibre cloth. We recommend Osmo wash & care to retain lustre. Avoid soap cleaners.

Why buy an Autonomous Furniture piece?
Our Environmental Philosophy and Quality Standards
We tailor. If you see something you like, but perhaps it does not quite fit your space, talk to us about what unique alterations to size and material are available.
Our furniture pieces are meant to last decades, we believe it's better to invest in a piece you love and will use for years, rather than buying cheaply made, poor faux material furniture that you'll need to replace every year or so. Our pieces can easily maintain their pristine condition.
You can put your feet up on our furniture pieces, they won't wobble. We want you to use them well, no dainty maneuvers required.
