Autonomous Furniture designs and produces all of its product in Victoria, BC in our downtown studio and showroom. Our furniture line is made up of around 20 pieces at any given time, updated with a new piece approximately every six months. While Autonomous Furniture is not a custom build shop, we do offer - what we like to call 'tailoring' - to many of our pieces. If you see something you like, but perhaps it does not quite fit the project at hand, talk to us about what unique alterations to size and material are available.
Do you offer interior design discounts?
Yes, please contact us for our trade discount application. We offer a discount to interior designers/architects and look forward to working with you.
What are your lead times?
For standard products which we produce regularly, we can usually ship out your order within 4 to 8 weeks depending on where your piece falls within our production schedule. For tailored built to order pieces, such as dining tables, we always recommend contacting us for timing, however usually are within an 8 to 12 week lead time. If you have a speedier request, we're happy to discuss and see what we can do! For one-off items, the product will say “available for shipping” and this means we’ll get your order packaged and shipped out within one to two weeks.
What are your shipping rates and methods?
We have shipped our pieces far and wide. We offer flat rates that vary depending on product size and your geographic location, just click through the shopping cart with your address to see the rate that applies to your order. As a family-owned Canadian business, we strive to have these flat rates cover most or part of our actual shipping cost for you, while providing you with the most value we can.
For smaller items (benches and side tables), we ship most often by Fedex Ground or Air (if we can secure a good rate!). For larger items that require crating, we will use Fedex Freight services. We are able to coordinate white glove delivery and assembly if you like, just let us know. Please ensure you inspect the package/crate upon delivery.
Warranty / Refund Policy
We stand behind our work and strive to exceed your expectations, however we are unable to offer returns. Our work is built to last generations, we will do everything possible to ensure your furniture is better than expected. We will give you cleaning and maintenance instructions to ensure your furniture retains its lustre and beauty. Expect the wood to expand and contract seasonally.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. You can always contact us for any issues at firstname.lastname@example.org.
