Alexandra Table

$18,500.00

A dramatic round table featuring a thick blackened steel base. The conical base is meticulously curved and joined to create a virtual seamless connection.

The 8-degree taper helps form depth and an intrinsic value to the piece. Designer Kirk Van Ludwig wanted the table balanced allowing for a person to sit on the end of the table without any movement, this was achieved through the use of 3/8” thickness and a large steel flange.

The Alexandra table is shown in torched Oak with a slight silver onyx oil and wax finish and features our tapered B6 edge and signature brass coins.

Features:

  • Contemporary design of a round dining table contrasting the raw steel base with natural solid wood top.
  • Torched Oak tabletop with a slight silver onyx oil and wax finish and placement of our signature brass coins.
  • Designed by Kirk Van Ludwig, six-time Designer of the Year finalist for Western Living magazine. A modern furniture aficionado.
  • 72" D x 29" H. Tailored sizing available.
  • Torched Oak finished in a natural oil and wax. Blackened raw steel base.
  • A smaller version of the Alexandra table is also available, with a tabletop diameter of 52" to 60". Please inquire.

Simply use a damp microfibre cloth. We recommend Osmo wash & care to retain lustre. Avoid soap cleaners, do not use glass cleaners on acrylic furniture.

We offer tailored alterations to size and material on many of our pieces - contact us to explore what's possible for your project.

Frankly aren't furniture - but true art

This is that one time that I dare to bring back the term "heirloom" (don't roll your eyes Kirk :)) for a piece a furniture. And honestly - when is the last time you could say that? Trust me, I am not trying to give you a vision of grandma's hutch here. (Is there a 21st century term that equates to the quality and providence as does the word "heirloom"?, cause this is why I'm using it)

I am VERY proud to walk into a client's home and see Autonomous Furniture pieces that frankly aren't furniture - but true art. Kirk has an eye for proportion and balance that truly stands out. His keen sense of scale and use of materials is something that truly is masterful.
